Responsibility of all Muslims - Quran Chapter 6 – 70b (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-833) - درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 6 – 70b (Pt-7, Stg-2) (L-833) - درس قرآن

Responsibility of all Muslims

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Preaching is incumbent upon the Muslims and it is the same duty which has been prescribed upon Muhammad, the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) by Allah Almighty, and after Him, it has been prescribed upon the Muslim Nation, which is His Successor. Once earlier, the topic of preaching has already been discussed in this Chapter (Surah).

Now, the second time, which three verses we recited in the previous four lessons, not only the preaching has been prescribed upon the Nation into them, but we can know the way of preaching also. This lesson will reflect on it so that, after understanding the importance of this duty, it may be performed in a correct manner.

Last three verses are a link of this chain. Abstract from the first verse of them is “You should withdraw from those people, who meddle with the Revelations of Holy Qur’aan (when they listen), disrespect the verses by their tongue or acts and are not ready to hear with humanity, because in such condition, there is a fear “By sitting with them, our names may be written in the list of wrongdoing people. Then you should not go unto them until they meddle with any other topic”.

The idolaters of Makkah used to do so, that, after hearing the Revelations of Holy Qur’aan, they used to mock with Them. Due to this reason, the Muslims thought: What form of their guidance will be, because as soon as we withdraw from their meeting, they begin to meddle and jest, curse and taunt rudely in the same manner?

It has been replied in the next verse: In such condition, those people who withdraw and ward off evil are not accountable for them in aught. Moreover, it is commanded also that the reminder about the commands of Holy Qur’aan must be given them that haply they too, who are wise of them, may ward off evil.

In the third verse, it has been described very clearly that you should forsake those rude people who take their religion for a pastime and a jest, and whom the life of the world has beguiled. But even then, it has been commanded that you should remind the mankind by means of the Revelations of Holy Qur,aan, admonition and advice, lest a soul be destroyed by what it earned. It can be understood from this description that “If there is any fear that whenever we shall visit them, they will mock with us”, in this form, admonishing them is not incumbent.

Therefore, in this situation, such a method of preaching should be chosen that the duty of preaching is performed as well as the cause of conflict is not born. It can be known by thinking that its only way is: The Muslims should prove it the best religion by acting upon their own religion themselves. They should correct their own condition before saying or hearing others in such a way that everyone begin to say: No doubt; these people are the best in morality, business, social relationship and politics. They lead all in sympathy, advice and human well-wishing. They are embodied incomparable of union and amity.

Whenever we shall expose ourselves to view duly corrected and the people will know that, truly, we are the best people, then they will adopt our way automatically. Going unto the non-Muslims with the present condition, in which the Muslims are fallen, is like treating ourselves with contempt. In the present form, we cannot say even to our own Muslims, because they will reply us at the spot: Look at your own at first. Then saying to others is useless. What can we hope from others in such condition? So the best method of preaching is: Produce yourselves as a model role for others and along with it, cause to hear the Message to other people.
